Insect and Wildlife Pest Control The Green Eco Responsible Way
Fleas, ticks, silverfish, mosquitoes, cockroaches, bees, ants, crickets,
spiders, mice,
rats ... a household pest can be more than a nuisance, they can
be a threat to your health and property too. Our wildlife pest control and insect
prevention methods often go hand in hand. For instance, wildlife critters such as
bats, snakes and mice can enter buildings through holes as small as 1/4" x 1/2"
and insects enter through much smaller holes. The techniques we use to exclude
wildlife from your home will often help control insect invasions as well. Our
methods are always eco-friendly and usually the most cost effective in the long run.
Who should care about green and eco-friendly pest control? You should.
Take a look at the typical pest control and wildlife control service truck.
Do you see ladders? A truck full of tools, wood, building materials? No.
you will see poisons, bug sprays and live critter wild animal traps, often
hazardous in their own right to you, your family and pets.
If you were to ask a dozen companies or home owners what it meant to be
truly green and eco-friendly, you will receive a dozen different answers.
Many companies claim to be green, whereas they are not at all. Claiming to
be green when you are not is referred to as "greenwashing". Being green is a
lifestyle and way you operate a business, not just a marketing ploy to attract more business.
The Skunk Whisperer® was founded on being eco-responsible and green.
Thinking green is not an afterthought for us – it is incorporated into our business plan and employee handbook as a rule.
The Skunk Whisperer plans to set the new standard for the definition of truly green pest control.
Green Pest Control Done Right The First Time
When it comes to insect, animal, wildlife and pest control, generally speaking,
you have two choices: one, the traditional method - continually exterminate, trap, relocate or kill the
troublesome bug or animal; or two, exclusion the eco-friendly way - address the
root of the cause and make it so they cannot get into your buildings to start with.
The process of making it so bugs and animals can not enter your buildings is called exclusion.
We utilize exclusion but we also look at the big picture and employ a method known as
Integrated Pest Management
or I.P.M. IPM is done in three stages: prevention, observation, and intervention.
It is important to understand that critters such as cockroaches, ants, scorpions and squirrels
just want three things: food, water and shelter. We evaluate how everything ties in together
on your particular property, then we develop an eco-friendly plan and act accordingly for cost effective, long lasting results.

As a matter of fact, truly green pest control will save you money. If you continue to use
the same old traditional pest and wildlife control methods, you will continue to get the
same outdated results without longevity.
Simply spraying to kill pest bugs or trapping animals addresses the symptom,
but not the cause. Addressing the root of the problem is a more cost effective way
to achieve long term results, giving you the best bang for your buck.
Every property is unique. Every property will have a different approach and solution;
therefore, there is no flat rate for our pest control service. Window seals, door seals,
weather stripping, attic screens, window screens, rotten siding and garage door seals are
all very common insect entry points which are just a few that we will be inspecting.
Will we recommend 100% botanical, all-natural bug pest control spraying chemicals all
of the time? Not necessarily, if a chemical requires five applications to be as effective as a chemical
that can take care of the insect infestation safely and comprehensively in one application,
it may not actually be the greener alternative. It is important to know that
natural products are not green just because they are natural. But, if you
do not want chemicals in your home, botanical and natural pest control non-chemicals will be used.
